It’s important to have good lighting in the classroom so that the children have a delightful experience. Bad lighting can be dreary. Here are some points to keep in mind:
The goal is to have lighting that floods the entire face and background. No shadows is what you are going for!
Avoid Overhead Lighting
Overhead lighting will cast shadows down on your face. This will accentuate circles under eyes and make you look tired in addition to the classroom appearing dull and dreary.
Use White Daylight Bulbs
Get high quality white bulbs. Lights that cast a yellow, pink, or blue tint will cause your on screen image to be that color. Daylight bulbs are recommended for clean color. LED bulbs are often easier on the eyes as well.
