-Advice from a recently hired teacher
Start your process by applying. The application will open in a new window.
Once you have passed the initial screening application, you will prepare for your demo/interview.
Veteran VIPKid Teachers are at your beck and call on Reddit. Check out the VIPKid Newbie Zone there and ask questions to get the support you need!
You will start by filling out an application that asks for basic contact and personal info, as well as your highest level of education and your experience.
The application is designed to scan the answers and screen out teachers who do not meet those basic qualifications listed above. Screening is done by computer so be certain to fill it out completely and correctly so that your application isn't automatically rejected
The Demo (or Interview)
The VIPKid Demo or Interview is the next step after passing the initial screening of your application. There are 4 options of ways to complete the demo/interview:
Certification (Mock Classes)
After you pass the Demo/Interview, you will certify for which levels you want to teach.
Signing the Contract
Before you can sign the contract and begin teaching you must complete a background check. VIPKid provides this. All you need to do it fill out the consent provided by VIPKid. This will come back in a few days.
You will also need to upload any remaining forms including certificates, etc, as well as some photos, a bio, and a video to market yourself to Chinese parents looking for a teacher.
*If you re unsure whether you meet the qualifications, please submit a query to the admin, who will be glad to help you.
